History and Informaton
The Drug Store started directly across the street as Pittman's Drug Company in 1973 by John Pittman, father of Emily Pittman-Layne. John continues to be one of the towns most repected individuals. His daughter Emily worked in the store while growing up and decided to follow in her father's footsteps and attend Auburn University in Auburn, AL where she graduated with a pharmacy degree in 1994. In February of 2000, the store merged with Tri-City Pharmacy and moved directly across the street and was renamed, The Drug Store. The Drug Store now employs two additional pharmacists. Jeremy York graduated from Samford Univerisity in Birmingham, AL in 2001 with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He began working at the drug store in 2003. The newest pharmacist, Brandon Marshall, also graduated from Samford University. Brandon obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2008. While new to the Drug Store as a pharmacist, Brandon has been employed since 2005.The Drug Store is a locally owned independent healthmart pharmacy. The Drug Store offers fast and reliable service you can count on everyday. At the Drug Store, our friendly and professional staff is available to answer all of your health-related concerns and questions. Our staff cares deeply about you and your family. We strive to make your visit pleasant and enjoyable. At the Drug Store we understand your time is important. Please feel free to call your prescriptions in ahead of time so they can be ready for you to pick up inside the store or at our convenient drive-thru window.Hours of Operation
